Founded in 1987 by Dennis Paphitis and now owned by L’Oréal, Aesop aims to create high-quality formulations with meticulous attention to detail, using both plant-based and laboratory-made ingredients. Aesop also values design as a way to enhance customer experiences and to blend in with the local environment. With over 300 stores worldwide, each with a unique aesthetic, Aesop has a strong presence in Seoul, where it operates as a wholesaler through its subsidiary company Aesop Korea Limited. Aesop’s stores in Seoul reflect the local culture and architecture, such as the one inspired by traditional Korean pavilions with open-sided brick walls. Aesop Korea collaborated with PROLICHT to deliver perfect lighting solutions and together we created the perfect ambience for the brand.
