PROLICHT ASSUMES LIGHTING DESIGN OF WORTEN HEADQUARTERS

PROLICHT has been part of the design team for the Worten headquarters in Lisbon together with great professionals of architecture and interior design. This project is the result of a whole year of work, it has been a challenge for us and that‘s why it’s one of our most important projects of 2022.

THE PROJECT

Worten is a chain store selling electronics and household appliances, it’s one of the most important companies in Portugal and they have chosen PROLICHT for the lighting design of its offices in Lisbon.

At PROLICHT, we manufacture high-quality luminaires, but in addition, we have always tried to transmit confidence and security to all our clients, and this is the reason why Worten trusted us for this project.

Throughout this process, PROLICHT has joined forces with SMC Arquitectos, Jump Studios and Select Engenharia to achieve a global and dynamic design concept that covers all needs of our client.

During first meetings with teams of Jump, SMC and Select where we had to define the objectives, we realized that this project would become a real challenge and we needed to be committed and even, surpass our customer’s expectations. But we also quickly saw that we were a group with a common mission and we felt we were all on the same page.

Throughout these months we have all rowed in the same direction to achieve a cohesive project and of course the best results. We have been able to transform eventual difficulties into opportunities to rethink our strategy and to do things even better.

One of the most important objectives was to fulfill the required sustainability standards. At PROLICHT we care about the future, since years ago we strive to implement processes which are sustainable and environmentally friendly. For this reason, we are very proud to get the maximum score for this project in the LEED certification which values energy efficiency.

OUR PRODUCTS

For this project we can mention two essential aspects: to understand and respect brand identity and to design a workspace where comfort is the main character. Lighting design is fundamental to achieve this and thanks to the wide range of products and possibilities that we offer at PROLICHT, we have been able to cover all needs and now, when Worten employees go to the office they feel like home.

PROLICHT luminaires merge smoothly with the spaces and create a harmonic ensemble of shapes and colors, respecting and taking advantage of the natural light the building already has.

In order to create a cozy atmosphere, we have chosen our Hypro profile with the RICO reflector which provides extra comfort and prevents visual fatigue usually appearing throughout the day.

In bigger spaces which need more light, we have opted for Sign Trimless luminaires and in areas where we can introduce decorative products, we decided to go with our Snooker model and our Glorious Slim suspended at different heights, this fact have allowed us to create lighting compositions, playing with their different diameters.

THE FINAL RESULT

The proactive attitude of all people involved, together with our excellent relationship and communication and the effort we made, has resulted in a high-level design project that has exceeded all our expectations.

Worten team is delighted with the final result, it has been a long journey, but PROLICHT have been together with them during the whole process, guiding and accompanying them with our know-how and our wide experience on lighting design.

This project together with Jump, SMC and Select has been a positive and very enriching experience for PROLICHT and we hope to collaborate again in the future with all of them.
